Σήμερον τῆς εὐδοκίας Θεοῦ τὸ προοίμιον, καὶ τῆς τῶν ἀνθρώπων σωτηρίας ἡ προκήρυξις. Ἐν Ναῷ τοῦ Θεοῦ τρανῶς ἡ Παρθένος δείκνυται, καὶ τὸν Χριστὸν τοῖς πᾶσι προκαταγγέλλεται. Αὐτῇ καὶ ἡμεῖς μεγαλοφώνως βοήσωμεν· Χαῖρε τῆς οἰκονομίας τοῦ Κτίστου ἡ ἐκπλήρωσις.

Today is the prelude of God’s good pleasure, and the proclamation of humanity’s salvation. In the temple of God, the Virgin is presented openly, and in herself she announces Christ to all. Let us, then, with a great voice cry aloud to her: “Rejoice, you are the fulfillment of the Creator’s dispensation.” [SD]

Remembering our all-holy, immaculate, most blessed, and glorious Lady, the Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary, with all the saints, let us commend ourselves and one another and our whole life to Christ our God.

Against You only have I sinned and done evil in Your sight; that You may be justified in Your words, and overcome when You are judged. O Hierarch Amphilochios, the great servant of the Holy Trinity, you are like divine thunder, a trumpet of the Holy Spirit, an axe against heresies, and a tender of the faithful. Now with the Angels, never cease interceding on behalf of us all. [SD]

Wise and godly-minded father Gregory, like a large sun you illumine the whole Church of God with the auroras of your miracles. You saved many people with your intercessions. You drove the heretics from your flock. Therefore we honor you. [SD]
