ON SUNDAY EVENING
At, Lord, I have cried, Prosomia.
Stichera for the Master.
Mode 3. Save me, O Lord.
O Lord my God, I have sinned against You. * I have sinned against You; forgive me. * Cast me not away, O Word of God, nor loathe me. * But as You alone are merciful and understanding, * accept me back in repentance. * O my Savior, as the only One compassionate, * provide the strength for me * to execute Your statutes. [SD]
Hasten, O Lord my God, and redeem me * from the hand of the adversary. * I have fain become enslaved to the deceiver * and forsaken Your divine commandments, O Master. * Grant me time for repentance, * O Compassionate, and lead me to compunction’s light, * that I may weep and mourn * over my fall, O Savior. [SD]
Additional Stichera. For the Angels.
The power of Your holy Cross.
O Master, You created the choirs of the Bodiless, * to all thus manifesting the richness of Your goodness. * And You brought them into being from nonexistence * that they might glorify You * with their unceasing hymns * and never-silent voices. [SD]
Glory. Both now. Theotokion. Same Melody.
Prokeimenon. Mode pl. 4.
Behold now, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord.
Verse: Who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God. [SAAS]
At the Aposticha.
Aposticha. Mode 3. For compunction.
We offer You, O Christ, an evening hymn with incense and spiritual songs. O Savior, have mercy on our souls. [SD]
Verse: I lift my eyes to You, who dwell in heaven. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hands of their masters, as the eyes of the maidservant look to the hands of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God until He shall have compassion on us. [SAAS]
Save me, O Lord God my Savior, save me! * For all people You are salvation. * The storm of the sinful passions disturbs me. * I am sinking because of the weight of transgressions. * Please extend Your hand and help me. * To the light of true compunction lead me up, O Lord, * alone compassionate and benevolent. [SD]
Verse: Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us, for we are greatly filled with contempt; our soul is greatly filled with it. We are a disgrace to those who prosper, and a contempt to the arrogant. [SAAS]
For the Martyrs.
The power of Your holy Cross, O Lord, is truly great. * It stood in one location * and throughout the world is active, * and unlettered fishermen it rendered wise Apostles, * and made the heathen Martyrs * that they might intercede * with You, O God, to save our souls. [SD]
Glory. Both now. Theotokion.
O noble one and first among the Saints, * as the subject of laudations of the celestial orders, * of the hymns of the Apostles and the writings of the Prophets, * O Lady, accept our supplications. [SD]
__________
ON MONDAY MORNING
MATINS
After the first Psalter reading, Kathismata.
For compunction. Mode 3.
O my soul, repent while you still sojourn on earth, for dust in the grave does not sing praise, nor is it released from transgressions. Cry out now to Christ God, “Knower of the heart, I have sinned. Before You condemn me, spare me, O God, and have mercy on me.” [SD]
How long will you persist in your offenses, O my soul? Till when will you put off repenting? Call to mind the judgment that is coming, and cry aloud to Christ God: “O sinless Lord, who know the hearts of all, I have sinned. Have mercy on me.” [SD]
Glory. Both now. Theotokion.
Rejoice, O Mary, Mother and Virgin, the holy mountain, the Garden of Eden! From you, only Christ God was born without seed, and through Him life has blossomed for the world. [SD]
After the second Psalter reading, Kathismata.
At the dreadful trial, I will be convicted even without accusers, I will be condemned even without witnesses. For the books of my conscience will be opened, and my hidden deeds are revealed. So, before You examine my actions in that most public theater, O God, be gracious to me and save me. [SD]
A frightful tribunal awaits me, O Lord. My deeds cry out, even though I be silent. But before that, O Christ my God, seek me the lost sheep, and through repentance save me. [SD]
Glory. Both now. Theotokion. Your confession.
You in purity surpass the Angels; * therefore you became the tabernacle * of the Logos, O immaculate Mother of God. * But as for me, I surpass everybody else * in the pollutions resulting from sins of the flesh. * With the waters of your intercession wash away my filth, * All-holy Maid, and grant me the great mercy. [SD]
After the third Psalter reading, Kathismata.
For compunction.
You were so beautiful.
As the almighty God, by word You brought all things, * earthly and heavenly, into existence, O Lord. * Now the angelic choirs stand in Your presence with fear and trembling, * and they offer up to You their continuous hymns of praise; * they also illuminate with Your light the entire world. * They pray for us, and we also cry out: * In Your compassion, O Master, save us all. [GOASD]
For the Martyrs.
Your wholehearted endurance vanquished the machinations of the enemy and author of evil, O all-lauded medal-winners. That is why you have been counted worthy of eternal blessedness. We entreat you to intercede with the Lord, that He save the flock of Christ-loving people, for You, O Martyrs, are witnesses of the truth. [SD]
Glory. Both now. Theotokion. You were so beautiful.
All beings heavenly rejoiced with fear and awe, * and even earth itself was very glad indeed, * O Theotokos, when that pure salutation was spoken to you. * Then your Son and Master saved from destruction the first-formed man, * and those on high and here below celebrated in unison. * And therefore with the Angel we say to you: Rejoice, O Maiden full of grace! [GOASD]

Aposticha. Mode 3. For compunction.
Gather my scattered mind, O Lord, and purify my heart which has dried up. Grant me repentance as You did to Peter, groans as You did to the Publican, tears as You did to the Harlot, so that with a loud voice I may cry to You: Save me, O God, as the only One who is compassionate and benevolent. [SD]
Verse: We were filled with Your mercy in the morning, and in all our days we greatly rejoiced and were glad; gladden us in return for the days You humbled us, for the years we saw evil things. And behold Your servants and Your works, and guide their sons. [SAAS]
Many times as I am singing hymns, I find that I am committing sin; for though I utter songs with my tongue, I am thinking wicked things with my soul. I pray You, O Christ God, to correct this through repentance and have mercy on me. [SD]
Verse: And let the brightness of the Lord our God be upon us, and prosper for us the works of our hands. [SAAS]
For the Martyrs.
Come, all peoples, let us honor the memory of the holy Martyr Athletes. They became a spectacle to Angels and men, and they received the crown of victory from Christ; and they intercede on behalf of our souls. [SD]
Glory. Both now. Theotokion. The power of Your holy Cross.
As you are truly greater than the heavenly Angels, please take up the petitions of us on earth, all-holy one, and present them to the Master of the universe, that He save us who faithfully profess that you are truly Theotokos. [SD]

LITURGY
The Beatitudes. Mode 3.
When our primal father Adam disobeyed Your divine command, O Christ, You expelled him from Paradise. But when the faithful Robber while on the cross confessed You to be Lord, You restored him there, as he cried to You: “O Savior, when You come in Your kingdom, remember me.” [SD]
Overlook the great abundance of my vices, * according to the abundance of Your mercy, and save me, O Christ; * and in the day of judgment, * from condemnation and eternal hell, * O my Savior, I implore You rescue me, * so that I may extol Your divine benevolence. [SD]
I entreat you all, the Cherubim and Seraphim * Archangels and Thrones, Dominions, Principalities, * Authorities and Angels: * implore our Maker that He overlook * all my sins and offenses on that day * when He will judge the earth, with mercy and benevolence. [SD]
For the Martyrs.
With the sacred blood of martyrdom, the Athletes * of Christ dyed the royal purple robe; and the King of hosts * as God has made them worthy * to reign with Him forevermore on high. * And they pray Him that our offenses be forgiven us, * who each day extol and worthily honor them. [SD]
Glory.
O believers, as we laud the single Godhead * in three hypostases, the Father, Logos, and Paraclete, * that is the Holy Spirit, * with never-ceasing voices let us shout, * “Holy, holy, holy are You, O God,” * the angelic hymn; and pray, “Holy Trinity, save our souls.” [SD]
Both now. Theotokion.
O pure Virgin, as the bright cloud that carried * in your womb the Light from Light, enlighten me who am darkened by * pleasures of life and passions, * as I endeavor truly to repent; * and entreat the Lord that I might attain * the glory attained by those who lived virtuously. [SD]
